The world is
a book, and those who do not travel read only a page. When you travel the world
is at your feet and your LIFE in your hands… I haven’t traveled a lot myself
but I want to, someday I wish to travel the whole world, visit all the
beautiful cities and towns, eat authentic cuisines, learn how to say hello in a
new language and most importantly meet new people.
Some of my
best friends were at some point total strangers but when you explore the world
and get to know people you’ll always find like-minded people who you can connect
with.
I don’t know
anyone who ever said travelling is boring, there are primarily two types of travelers.
People who travel all alone and people who prefer travelling with a companion,
usually a friend(s) or spouse or with their families.
I like to
travel alone because I hate it when I am wasting time thinking about where to
eat or go next because somebody wants to see a different city or eat a
different type of cuisine. For me travelling is all about doing what you like not what others like and comfort is least of my priorities.
I began my
journey in 2014 when I first left India going to Philippines. I was all alone,
it was my first time on a flight, I had no idea what a boarding pass is, and
how much luggage is allowed but these things don’t matter you’ll learn really
quickly.
Mine was a
business trip with a tiny layover in Singapore, with 6 hours in hand and a
country that is smaller than my city I decided to walk up to an immigration
officer and ask how I can get out of that beautiful but boring Changi Airport.
I wasn’t allowed to go out because I did not have a Visa. I didn’t know how boring
it was sit at an Airport, remember it was my first time.
I sat there
in the garden waiting for my next flight looking at people buying wine
and chocolates and running around with their bags, I decided that I’m going to
be a traveler some day and I hoped I’d be a good one.
Few months later I traveled to Taiwan, Netherlands, Romania, Qatar, Malaysia, Thailand and Turkey. This time, I was
prepared, I booked flight via countries that were visa free or it was
easy to obtain a visa and always took flights that had multiple stops and long
layovers. While I was visiting all these places I realized I am not someone who
likes to spend a lot of time in one place, I like moving and moving quick. To
be honest you actually don’t need a lot of time unless you’d like to lock
yourself up in a tiny hut somewhere in the mountains of Vienna and relax a bit.
Over the
next year or so I am going to be travelling to the United States, Japan, Dubai,
Canada, Mexico, Eastern and central Europe and lot of other south-east Asian countries.
Mostly offsite visits, perks of a fancy job but most of them are going to be
tiny visits to countries during a long layover between connecting flights.
Having said
that there are many countries such as Vietnam, Indonesia, Laos, Macau Hong
Kong, South Korea that you can visit that won’t make a big hole in your pocket.
Flights are cheap, stay is affordable and if you can eat anything like me than you
got yourself a great vacation.
I know how
much I enjoy jumping on a plane and going to a completely new place but before
you could do that, you have to go through all the planning and booking and
stuff like that. Luckily my company does most of the work for me. Visas can be
a pain in the ass, a smart traveler never makes a last minute decision to
explore a new country, they plan in advance, they know where they want to go,
what they wish to see and how much time and money they are willing to spend.
Here’s a list of 81 countries that
you can visit with one less thing to worry about, VISA!

Understand
what kind of person you are, if you enjoy the beach or the mountains. What kind
of weather makes you happy, which side of the world do you want to see. Are you
into Museums and history or clubs and restaurants? Do you like the City or a
quiet province? Once you have that sorted out, making a selection is a piece of
cake.
Try to avoid
staying in Hotels, they are expensive. Use Airbnb, don’t visit the place LIVE
there, that’s what Airbnb can help you do. Try the local food, it might become
your favorite in no time.
Travel far
enough and you’ll meet yourself. Don’t waste time taking pictures of every god
damn thing, see, explore and live it. It’s not about how many people see your itinerary
on Instagram or Facebook, it’s about how many people you could meet face to
face and tell your tale.
Happy
travelling and go get that passport tattooed…
Very Informative & very Inspiring .... Good one Dude
